Product Marketing Manager

Turn what our practitioners know into things a buyer can read and understand.

Full-time ยท Steinbach or remote (Canada) Apply for this role

mode40 makes software for running an operation, from Steinbach, Manitoba. The Singularity is one platform that pulls an operation's data into a single working model, with AI on top of it that knows how the place actually runs. Our customers are manufacturers, food and beverage producers and aerospace suppliers. One of them runs 19 facilities on a single installation.

mode40 was started by people who ran plants and spent years working around software built by people who never had. The product is built on that, and it is what we hire for.

Location and how we work

This role is based in Steinbach, or remote anywhere in Canada. mode40 is remote-first, with an office in Steinbach for the people who want one. Everyone here has access to everyone from day one: if you need the CEO, you talk to the CEO rather than waiting for a meeting invite.

What you will do

  • Own positioning and messaging for the Singularity and the Modules underneath it
  • Write the sales assets the team actually uses, then find out whether they used them
  • Run launches for new modules and industry verticals, start to finish
  • Sit in on customer calls often enough that the copy sounds like the customer

What we are looking for

  • Four or more years in product marketing for a technical or enterprise product
  • You write plainly, and you can tell the difference between clear and merely short
  • Comfortable working with subject matter experts who know more than you and have no time
  • Familiar with Dunford-style positioning, or ready to be

What we offer

  • mode40 days: earned Fridays through July and August, plus a stretch at the end of December
  • $1,000 a year for whatever makes your setup work properly
  • Remote-first, with an office in Steinbach if you want it
  • A welcome package at the start and an annual credit at the apparel store
  • No annual reviews. Feedback happens continuously, in both directions
  • funmode: escape rooms, axe throwing, karaoke. What happens in funmode stays in funmode
