What the Singularity is

One working model of an operation, built from modules, sitting on top of the systems that operation already runs.

One working model

The Singularity is a digital twin of a business. One working model of the operation that holds its current state, its full history, and what happens if you change something.

In most operations that data and those processes are scattered: across the ERP, across the spreadsheets, and inside the head of the person about to retire. The platform connects those sources and turns what they hold into decisions and actions.

One customer runs 19 facilities on a single installation.

What it sits on top of

The Singularity connects the systems already in place: the ERP, the machines, the spreadsheets, the knowledge that today only lives in someone’s head. It does not replace them. It sits on top.

It is one platform, so there is no stack to stitch together. How the reaching actually works is covered in How systems connect, and the buyer-facing view is on the integrations page.

Foundational, Workflow, and Agentic Modules

Inside the Singularity, every capability is a module.

Foundational
Hold the truth of one thing. Assets, schedules, permissions, history: one place each fact lives, so everything else works from the same truth.
Workflow
Act on those facts, with an operator’s judgment built in. They run the work.
Agent
Do the work people used to do. Each is named for the job it does: a Planner, a Buyer, an Auditor.

Each kind is covered in Modules: the three kinds. The module library has a page per module.

Where the judgment comes from

Data pipelines, dashboards, and models can be engineered. The judgment of someone who has run these operations cannot.

mode40 was built by practitioners who ran a multi-facility operation before they built a platform. That judgment is in the product on day one, in the defaults behind every alert, workflow, screen, and security control.

In one manufacturing deployment, customer shorts went from 50 a month to 12 in six months, and downtime fell 86% across seven production facilities.

How adoption works

You do not adopt the whole platform on day one. An engagement starts with one real problem, connected to the systems already running, and nothing gets ripped out to make the Singularity fit.

Start where the data is trapped worst, prove it out, then grow into more of the platform as the return proves itself. Each module arrives configured for how the industry runs, so the first one turned on already knows that world. How an engagement is priced covers the commercial shape of that.

Industry configurations

The platform is sold as Singularity for [Industry]. Same platform, configured for the operation it runs in.

Manufacturing
In production. Food and beverage operations run on it today.
Aerospace and Defence
In service. Traceability, authorization, and the evidence an audit asks for.
Healthcare
In development. One working model of the operations behind the care.
Education
In development. Knowledge that compounds instead of walking out the door.
Public Sector
Underway. Trust a citizen, an auditor, or a minister can verify.
