How it works

Define the plant once. Track the tools against it.

Reserve a tool ahead of the run that needs it, and the availability timeline shows what’s already booked, so two shifts don’t reserve the same fixture. Every tracked item has a detail page with its full history, so you can see where it’s been without asking around the floor.

Site configuration

Place every asset under a site, area and line

Create an asset and put it under a site, an area and a line, the way the floor is laid out. Edit it in place when a line is reconfigured or a machine moves. Every other Module points at this same record, so nobody keeps a second list.

  • Create and edit assets in site configuration
  • Placed under a site, an area, and a line
  • The same record every other Module refers to

Assets

Read the plant as a tree, site down to asset

Open the tree and the plant reads the way it’s built: site, area, line, asset. Expand a line to see every asset running on it.

  • Site, area, line, and asset in one view
  • Expand a line to see what runs on it
  • The structure every other Module reads from
  • Oldest scanned tool: Torque wrench 20-100 Nm Assembly Line 1 3d 6h Torque

Tracked assets

Track the tools you hand out

Every tracked tool, fixture and gauge sits on one register for the site. Each has a detail page with its full history, so you can see where a torque wrench has been. Its status comes from the last movement recorded against it.

  • One register per site for tracked physical items
  • A detail page per item, with its full history
  • Status on each item, from the last recorded movement

Check-out

See who has each tool right now

Check a tool out to a person on a shift, and check it back in when the job is done. The register updates the moment you do. At any point you can see what’s out and who has it, without going looking.

  • Check-out records the holder and where it went
  • Check-in returns the item to a location
  • The register shows what is out and with whom
  • Fixture FX-0412 Brantford Plant 2 Assembly Bay 4

Locations

Find the bay a fixture sits in

Cribs, bays and stalls live in their own register, not a free-text field. A map lays them out the way the building is laid out. Every tracked item points at the location holding it, so you’re never guessing.

  • A named register for cribs, bays, and stalls
  • A map view with the locations drawn in place
  • Every tracked item points at the location holding it
  • Reserve FX-0412, Fri 06:00Assembly Line 1
  • Booking clash: 3h 30m overlap

Reservations

Reserve a fixture before the run that needs it

Reserve a fixture for a date and a window before the run that needs it. The item’s availability timeline shows what’s already spoken for, so two shifts can’t book the same tool. Book it once and it holds.

  • Reserve a tracked item for a date and a window
  • An availability timeline per item, ahead of the run

Asset position

See counts by status across the register

The dashboard rolls the register up into counts by status, so a supervisor reads the state of the crib at a glance instead of scrolling the list. It tracks movement only. Runtime and downtime on the equipment come from the Historian and the OEE Engine.
